Dr. Treive Nicholas trained as a research scientist in chemistry and biology before embarking on an international career in commerce. He has traveled extensively across South Africa, particularly in the Eastern Cape. Nicholas is the author of A Nun and the Pig: Tales from South Africa about his time working as a teacher in Mthatha during the 1980s. His latest book, In Search of Nongqawuse, explores the history of the Xhosa prophetess and the events surrounding the cattle killings of 1857.
