Steven Friedman is a research professor in the Humanities Faculty of the University of Johannesburg. He is a political scientist who specialises in the study of democracy; a public commentator; newspaper columnist and a former trade unionist. His most recent book is Good Jew, Bad Jew : Racism, anti-Semitism and the assault on meaning published by Wits University Press in 2023.
