Sibongile Machika is a storyteller, community builder, and curator with over a decade of experience in trade publishing. A passionate champion of African literature, her work amplifies diverse voices that offer unique perspectives on global narratives. In 2023, she was recognized as one of Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in Film and Media for her contributions to the publishing industry and vision for South Africa’s storytelling landscape.
She is currently a Commissioning Editor at Jonathan Ball Publishers, where she focuses on nonfiction works that she hopes elevate public discourse and understanding across diverse demographics.
