Sarah Uheida is a Libyan-born poet and essayist based in Cape Town. She holds a Master’s in English Studies (Poetry) from Stellenbosch University, funded by a Margaret McNamara Education Grant. A 2021 Miles Morland Foundation Writing Scholar and winner of the 2020 Dan Veach Prize for Young Poets, her work appears in journals and anthologies including We Call to the Eye & the Night and Relations. She regularly reads with local poetry groups. Not This Tender is her debut collection.
