Robert Plummer is senior managing editor for non-fiction at Penguin Random House South Africa. He studied English literature at UCT and Oxford, and has worked in publishing for over twenty-five years. Along the way, he has edited a wide range of authors including Zakes Mda, Max du Preez, Pieter-Dirk Uys, Helen Zille, Mathews Phosa and Antjie Krog. He has also overseen the publication of prize-winners such as Murder at Small Koppie and The Man Who Founded the ANC, and the bestsellers Gangster State and Truth to Power. He has taught a seminar on publishing at UCT and is the author of the GetSmarter online copy-editing course.
