Oyama Mabandla is a lawyer and businessman, holding a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He is a regular media contributor on the intersection of the arts and politics. Oyama’s latest book, Soul of a Nation: A Quest for the Rebirth of South Africa’s True Values (2024), explores the critical path forward for South Africa to rediscover its foundational values. He is currently based in Johannesburg.
