Marina Auer is a graduate of UCT Medical School and spent several years working in state hospitals, before moving into private practice. She lives with her family – two teenagers, two cats, one husband – in Hillcrest, KZN. Her debut medical crime thriller Double Edged was published in 2023. Single Minded was published in 2024 and was shortlisted for The Island Prize. Her latest book Three Echoes was published in 2025.
