Lebo Mazibuko was born in Johannesburg and grew up in the township of Pimville, Soweto. She discovered her passion for storytelling at a young age attending school at the National School of the Arts where she matriculated. She is a trained theatre performer, having obtained her B-Tech in the Dramatic Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology. She has graced many stages as both an actor and poet. It is through poetry that she has been able to stretch herself as a writer. Her debut novel Bantu Knots was published in 2021. Her second novel Fabrics of Love (2025) is a modern family saga, told from the perspective of three young black women who attempt to heal their past trauma while pursuing their dreams.
