Jonathan Morris joined the South African Police Force in 1977 at the age of 19, rising through the ranks from detective constable to Captain. He served in the Gang Investigation Unit and later in the Serious & Violent Crimes Unit, which became the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, where he helped solve some of South Africa’s most significant serial killer and mass murder cases before retiring in 2016. He is the author of Confessor Cop, which chronicles his experiences in policing.
