Imraan Coovadia is one of South Africa’s leading writers. His works, which include High Low In-between, Tales of the Metric System, Revolution and Non-Violence, and The Poisoners: on South Africa’s Toxic History, have been recognised by the Sunday Times Fiction Prize, the University of Johannesburg Prize, the M-Net Prize, the National Institute for the Humanities Book Prize, and the South African Literary Award for Non-Fiction. He lives in Cape Town with his family and directs the writing programme at the University of Cape Town. An Enemy of the People is Imraan’s most recent novel.
