Ian Roberts is an award-winning South African actor, playwright, and musician. He rose to fame in the late 1980s for his roles in beloved television series like Verspeelde Lente, Arende, and Inkom’ Edla Yodwa. He is well-known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi and international movies such as The Power of One, King Solomon’s Mines, and Jane and the Lost City. His portrayal of Boet in the Castrol Can of the Best adverts made him a household name. Ian is also the lead singer of the band Die Radio Kalahari Orkes. His debut book, Nomad Heart and Is Dit Jy?, is available now.
