Elsa Pooley is a renowned botanist, landscape designer, and botanical artist who has spent over five decades designing public and private gardens using South African indigenous plants. She is the author of several acclaimed plant field guides and her latest book, South African Indigenous Garden Plants: A Gardener’s Guide, offers expert insight into sustainable, regionally inspired gardening. Elsa is also the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal for her contributions to botany and conservation.
