David McWilliams is an Irish economist, author, podcaster, and broadcaster known for making economics accessible. A former economist at the Irish Central Bank, UBS, and BNP, he writes for The Irish Times and contributes to the Financial Times. He is the founder of Kilkenomics, the world’s only economics and comedy festival. His latest book, Money: A Social History of the World, explores the human story behind money. He teaches at Trinity Business School and lives in Dublin.
