Anton Kannemeyer studied Fine Arts (Stellenbosch University) and lectured at the universities of Pretoria and Stellenbosch and at Wits Technikon. To date, he has had 17 solo exhibitions and participated in 48 international group exhibitions in South Africa, Europe and the USA. He is represented by galleries in New York, Paris and Vienna. His work has been published worldwide and is held in many permanent collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His book Pappa in Afrika won Best International Graphic Novel at the Amadora BD Festival. He is the co-creator of Bitterkomix Sketchbooks & Journals (2025).
