Lameez is News24’s climate editor. Having started her career as a business journalist, tracking impacts of the energy crisis, state capture and the Covid-19 pandemic on South Africa’s economy, Lameez developed a keen interest in the country’s sustainable development path. She has since completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University which positioned her to lead News24’s climate reporting.
