Irvin Kinnes

Irvin Kinnes, PhD, MSc, is a criminologist with extensive experience in academia and practice. He’s held pivotal roles like Police Training Programme Manager at the Centre of Conflict Resolution and served on boards including the Manenberg People’s Centre. Notable contributions include membership in committees addressing racism in the SAPS. Irvin’s accolades include the 2002 UNODC Vienna Civil Society Award. His research focuses on policing, gangs, and organised crime, evident in his publications and teaching at the Centre of Criminology.
