Fiona Snyckers is a South African writer living in Johannesburg. In 2020 she won both the South African Literary Award and the Humanities Award of the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences for her novel Lacuna. She has been nominated five times for the Sunday Times Fiction Prize. The Hidden is her ninth novel.
