Andrew Harding

Andrew Harding is a foreign correspondent for the BBC and acclaimed author of The Mayor of Mogadishu and These are not Gentle People (winner of the Sunday Times CNA Literary Award for Non-Fiction in 2021). He left Britain in 1991 and has since lived and worked in the former Soviet Union, Asia, Kenya, and – for the past decade – in South Africa. His radio and television reports have won him international recognition, including an Emmy. He will release a new book A Small, Stubborn Town: Life, Death and Defiance in Ukraine in mid- 2023.
