Academic and critic Hein Willemse (The Arabic-Afrikaans Writing Tradition) speaks to the Paarl-born poet Gaireyah Fredericks (Een Voet Innie Kabr) and Charmaine Africa, whose Cape Flats memoir Amma is written entirely in Kaaps.
