Babalwayashe Molate

Babalwayashe Molate is a student at UCT and recently submitted a Masters dissertation titled ‘The Language Socialisation Experiences of a Grade R Child in a Black Middle-Class Multilingual Family’. Her key research interests are multilingualism, language practices of multilingual families and Family Language Policy. Connected to my research interests are Her experiences in bi-literacy club facilitation and family literacy training are connected to her research interests. Babalwa also translates and edits children’s literature on a freelance basis. Her translation skills also extends to translating teacher training manuals for teaching literacy.
