MAX DU PREEZ

Max du Preez MAX DU PREEZ is the former editor of Vrye Weekblad and executive producer of the television programmes Special Report on the TRC and Special Assignment. He is an independent documentary film maker and weekly columnist for the Independent Newspapers group.

He heads an HSRC project, Back from the Brink - South Africans Explain their Miracle, which will involve a DVD set with interviews for universities, a book and a TV series.

He has published four books: Louis Luyt – Unauthorised (2000); Pale NativeMemories of a Renegade Reporter (2003); Of Lovers, Warriors and Prophets (2004); and Oranje Blanje Blues (2005) – all published by Zebra Press. He is also co-author of the Turning Points in History series of books published in 2004 by the National History Project and the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation.
