 LOUIS BAUM

Louis BaumLOUIS BAUM is a South African journalist, editor of book publications and author of books for young children, now living in Britain and married to Liz Calder.

Born in Cape Town and with a BA from UCT, he worked for the Cape Times and as a foreign correspondent in London for South African morning newspapers before joining The Bookseller, which he edited for nearly 20 years. 

He was also founder-director of The Groucho Club and a committee member of the Society of Bookmen and the English branch of International PEN.  His books for children include JuJu and the Pirate, I Want to See the Moon, Tea with Bea and Milo Mouse and the Scary Monster.
