 FINUALA DOWLING

Finuala DowlingFINUALA DOWLING has published two volumes of poetry, I Flying (awarded the Ingrid Jonker Prize), and Doo-Wop Girls of the Universe

She is also the author of a novel, What Poets Need, several short stories and an award-winning comedy, Bungee Writing Finals.  Her second novel, Flyleaf, will be published in June 2007. 

In 1995 she gave up a lecturing post at UNISA in order to pursue a freelance writing career.  She lives with her extended family in Kalk Bay, Cape Town.
