A CELEBRATION OF BOOKS & WRITING

CHEFS' TABLES

Would you like to enjoy an evening of fabulous food, specially prepared for you by one of Franschhoek's famous master chefs, in the company of well-known South African and international authors?  Writers participating in the Literary Festival have agreed to host chefs' tables at Franschhoek's award-winning restaurants, with proceeds going to the Franschhoek Community Library Fund. The chefs of the participating restaurants are:

On Friday 11 May:

Margot Janse at Le Quartier Francais with hosts Jancis Robinson and three local winemakers

On Saturday 12 May:

Reuben Riffel at Reuben’s with author Max du Preez

Camil Haas of Bouillabaisse at Klein Oliphants Hoek, with authors Fred Khumalo, Margie Orford and Chris van Wyk

Topsi Venter at Topsi & Co, with authors Christopher Hope, Liz Calder, Louis Baum and Giles Foden

Matthew Gordon at Haute Cabrière with authors Mike Nicol and Ivan Vladislavic

Ryan Smith at Mont Rochelle with author Mike van Graan and cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro (Zapiro)

Pierre Hendricks at Le Bon Vivant with poet and publisher Gus Ferguson
